The ERS had 244 active projects in fiscal year 2002 and about 244 active projects in fiscal year 2003. In fiscal year 2002, ERS staff responded to about 50,000 requests for economic information and published about 200 reports of economic analysis and research. That does not include unpublished staff analysis that were used to address specific policy questions. The number of publications and requests are expected to be about the same in fiscal year 2003.
